Filip Grönvall

Filip has a strong experience in banking, having spent six years as a management partner at Nordea.

The experience gave him a deep understanding of the crucial role banking plays in society and growth, but soon realized that the real pace of change comes from smaller companies and entrepreneurs, a segment often underserved by traditional banking – which eventually brought him to Gilion, where he has been working since its inception.

Filip is motivated by helping founders maintain control of their companies while achieving their growth plans whilst materializing their long term goals. He believes in the power of data to reduce bias in financing decisions, trusting that founders will act in the best interest for their companies.

His commitment to assisting clients extends beyond financing, as he often uses his network to introduce founders to suitable investors and angels when his solution isn’t the best fit.

A particular highlight at Gilion, thus far, is meeting the founder of Hailey in 2021 and successfully helping them secure funding, first in 2023 and then in 2024.
